"I have no idea how this UFC interviewer situation got this big. I never wanted to attack the UFC, people were calling and telling me Diaz wasn't going to sign and I got paranoid thinking they were going to use that clip to get him to sign the contract, my bad. The real truth is, I'm not focusing on this at all, this is not important, whats important is fighting Nick Diaz at UFC 137. He will be by far the most dangerous opponent I have ever stepped inside the Octagon with."
-- B.J. Penn releases a statement on his website in an attempt to quickly squash any perceived feud with his employers. "The Prodigy" fast learned that the Internet don't play and after he released a video explaining his displeasure with UFC interviewers apparently attempting to goad him into saying something negative about Nick Diaz, Octagon President Dana White quickly did the same. Except his directly contradicted Penn's video, so the Hawaiian decided he needed to release yet another to prove he wasn't lying or over-exaggerating. Either he's come to his senses since then and realized going to war in a viral battle with the UFC is a fools errand or he was simply asked to stop, but either way, it doesn't matter. He's making it clear that he's got better things to worry about, like his fight against Diaz at UFC 137 on Oct. 29 in Las Vegas, Nevada. To that end, Penn calls the Stockton slugger "by far" the most dangerous opponent he's ever gone up against inside the Octagon. This is both a major compliment to Diaz and a backhanded shot at Georges St. Pierre but is it true?
