Paul Daley Will NOT Fight Nate Marquardt At BAMMA 8

Some unsuprising news coming out of England, as top English welterweight, Paul "Semtex" Daley, has revealed that he has no interest in appearing at BAMMA 8, which is set to go down this December, in Daley's hometown of Nottingham. It was thought that Daley would welcome former UFC superstar, Nate Marquardt, on his BAMMA debut, but its not meant to be according to The Fight Lounge:

“I’m sorry to announce that I will not be fighting on the BAMMA 8 card in Nottingham on 10th December. Details as to why I will not be appearing on this card will remain undisclosed. I was most definitely looking forward to competing in front of my home town crowd, and was positive the event would have gone down in, not only Nottingham’s prestigious fighting history, but in UK MMA history as well. I still hope BAMMA 8 will be a huge success and look forward to seeing who will take on Nate Marquardt for what I assume will the BAMMA World Welterweight title. The rumours of a possible matchup between myself and Nate are now extremely unlikely to happen.”

“I will be aiming to compete in December, whether the event is to be in the UK or abroad is still to be confirmed.”

Daley has had a troubled relationship with the top English promotion, failing to make weight on two seperate occasions, with both blamed on sauna issues. Daley beat Jordan Radev via decision on September 10th, though his participation in the bout was in serious doubt until the day of the event.
