Marcus Davis vs Chuck O'Neil booked for 'Reloaded' event in Miami on Oct. 15

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran Marcus Davis has agreed to participate in his fourth fight in seven months at W-1: "Reloaded," which is scheduled to take place at the BankUnited Center in Miami, Fla., on Oct. 15, 2011.

"The Irish Hand Grenade" will reportedly take on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 13 alum, Chuck O'Neill, in a lightweight showdown. That is, of course, if Davis can emerge from his bout with Travis Coyle at Global Fight League 9, which takes place just three weeks earlier (Sept. 23, 2011) at the Portland Expo Center in Portland, Maine, injury-free.
Davis, 38, is apparently looking to fast-track his way back to the world's most popular mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion, agreeing to compete for the fifth time in 2011. He was handed his walking papers earlier this year after a knockout loss to Jeremy Stephens at UFC 125: "Resolution."
Since being cut, Davis has strung together back-to-back wins, both under the Maximum Fighting Championship (MFC) banner. He took a split decision over Curtis Demarce at MFC 29 back in April and earned a unanimous decision over Pete Spratt at MFC 30 two months later.
He'll now look to make it four straight before the end of October and possibly use that momentum to land back inside the Octagon by 2012 or sooner.
