UFC featherweight contender, Chad Mendes received some good news on Monday after x-ray’s revealed the Team Alpha Male fighter had not suffered a broken hand during his UFC 133 clash with Rani Yahya. Mendes’ manager, Jeff Meyer of MMA Inc. revealed the 145 pound powerhouse had visited his doctors who had told him he had suffered strained ligaments in his hand and that nothing was broken.
The win over Yahya propelled Mendes back into title contention and he’ll likely meet the winner of the Jose Aldo vs. Kenny Florian fight which is set to go down later this year at UFC 136.
