UFC 134 – Luiz Cane believes the two losses he suffered in a row made him a better athlete and a better person

UFC light heavyweight slugger, Luiz Cane has been speaking about his development into a better fighter over the past couple of years with the worlds number one MMA promotion, explaining the back-to-back losses he suffered in 2009/2010 probably made the biggest difference of all.
Speaking via UFC.com, Cane said:

“I changed the way I train, the way I eat, the way I take my career and my life. I’m sure that those two losses made me a better athlete and a better person. I see myself getting better every day and I know I haven’t reached my prime.”
“I’m sure I’m ready for the next level, but I have a tough and dangerous fight in Nedkov. So now I’m just thinking of him.”
As for the octagon heading to Brazil for the first time in fifteen years, Cane said:
“I’m sure they (the fans) will see the biggest show in the UFC history. They’ve never seen a crowd like they will see in Rio. I’m very excited for this fight and I’m very proud to fight for my people.”
Cane recently got his octagon career back on track, stopping Eliot Marshall in the first round via TKO. Prior to that he had been stopped himself by top rated strikers, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Cyrille Diabate.
