Dana White admits he’s not sure what’s next for floundering Matt Hamill

UFC President, Dana White has admitted that he’s not sure what’s next for light heavyweight powerhouse, Matt Hamill after he came up short once again inside the octagon this past Saturday night in Philadelphia, admitting he’ll sit down with the powers that be shortly and decide what’s best for all concerned.

Speaking at the UFC 133 post-fight press conference, Dana said:
“Well, you’ve got to give him the credit that he just fought Rampage. He didn’t do horrible in the Rampage fight considering he was fighting… I still think Rampage is one of the best light heavyweights in the world. Tonight was a big tell. He got beat up tonight. He looked outmatched tonight. I don’t know. We’ll see. It’s hard for me to sit here tonight and decide what’s going to happen to certain guys. … You’ve got to take the weekend. We go back to the office, we talk, we go back and forth. It’s not one guy’s decision. It’s me Joe (Silva) and Lorenzo (Fertitta) that sit down and walk through this stuff.”

Hamill certainly looked outmatched by Gustafsson on Saturday night as he lumbered forward throwing the predictable lance-like jab to close the distance on his opponent. Although it’s doubtful that he’ll get cut at this point “The Hammer” will have to return to his best next time out if he’s to retain his spot on the UFC’s roster.
