UFC 138 – Mark Scanlon returns to the octagon to face James Head on November 5th in Birmingham, England

A welterweight bout between British fighter, Mark Scanlon and former middleweight, James Head has been officially announced for the UFC 138 card on November 5th in Birmingham, England.
The promotion made the announcement earlier today via it’s official website, meaning bout agreements have likely been inked.
Scanlon hasn’t fought since he stepped up at short notice to take on German submission artist, Pascal Krauss at UFC 122 in November. The suffered a unanimous decision loss but did pick up “Fight of the Night” honours. He was due to face Matt Brown in March but pulled out due to injury.
Head opened his mixed martial arts career with a 7-1 run which included an impressive unanimous decision win over Gerald Harris outside of the UFC. His octagon debut didn’t go so well though, losing out to Nick Ring just last month via submission.
