“I’m excited just to get back in there. It’s definitely dangerous. To be quite honest, I was in the same situation last year when I took on a lot of my fights. It’s one of those things where my name is starting to get out there, and he wants to make a name for himself just like I did about a year ago. It’s one of those things I’m taking into consideration a lot.”
“I’m thinking of it as an opportunity to get another fight, but I’m also looking at the fight venue itself. With it being in Vegas, I tell everybody that when you’re talking about fights and they’re happening in Vegas, that’s where everything happens. I’m definitely excited about the fight. I’m definitely looking forward to it. It’s in Vegas and that’s where MMA is made.”
“I’m just climbing up the ladder, slowly but surely. I’m taking my time with it; I’ve got patience and stuff. I think my time will come. 2010 I’ve been patient, kind of put my name out there and stuff, and 2011 I’m going to continue to do that. Slowly and surely, climbing up the ladder.”
St. Preux has picked up wins over holds wins over Abongo Humphrey, Benji Radach and Antwain Britt in Strikeforce and will be looking to impress his new Zuffa bosses with a win in this one. Cason is currently 9-1 in his professional career and most recently defeated former UFC fighter, Sean Salmon via first round TKO. He has won his last eight fights in a row, primarily on the local Iowa scene.
