Rashad Evans predicts Jon Jones will retain his title but he hopes “Rampage” somehow catches him with something

Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Rashad Evans has been giving his thoughts on the UFC 135 clash between former friend and current champion, Jon Jones and bitter rival, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, predicting there won’t be a change at the top this time around.
Speaking via MMAWeekly.com, Evans said:
“I think it’s going to be Jon Jones. I would like to see Rampage catch him with something, but I honestly believe Rampage is not doing what he needs to do, and he’s not going to do what he needs to do to win the title.”
“He’s just been living off of fumes of his Pride days, and he really needs to go and take things seriously. If he took things seriously, I think he might be able to do something, but he ain’t trying to take nothing serious.”
Evans could put himself firmly into the number one contenders spot should he defeat former light heavyweight champion, Tito Ortiz at UFC 133 on August 6th in Philadelphia. He’ll likely receive a shot at the title early next year should that be the case and meet the winner of the Jones/Jackson bout.
