Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission lift’s Nate Marquardt’s suspension

It has today been revealed that the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission have lifted the suspension imposed on Nate Marquardt imposed prior to his proposed fight on the UFC on Versus 4 card last month, meaning he’s free to resume his fighting career.
A statement from the fighters camp read:
“Today Nate Marquardt was taken off suspension by the Pennsylvania Athletic Commission. This comes less than three weeks after not being medically cleared to fight at UFC on Versus 4 in Pittsburgh and being placed on suspension. Nate is no longer restricted from fighting in any jurisdiction and is looking forward to competing in mixed martial arts again as soon as possible.”
Many of the top promoitions have been waiting and watching to see if the man dubbed “The Great” would be taken of suspension before making a move for him although it’s unclear whether he’ll receive a reprieve from his old bosses at the UFC or maybe make the switch to the other Zuffa LLC. owned promotion, Strikeforce.
