Paul “Semtex” Daley becomes the latest fighter campaigning to fight Nate Marquardt

Strikeforce welterweight contender, Paul “Semtex” Daley has become the latest high-profile fighter to offer to face Nate Marquardt inside the cage following his departure from the UFC ranks just last month, as well as slamming “The Great” for taking banned substances no matter what the reason for doing so.
Speaking via ESPN.co.uk, Daley said:
“I’d love to fight Nate Marquardt, he’s a tough guy and he’s got a big reputation. But whether the UFC chooses to send him across to Strikeforce, I’m not so sure. What would that say about them? He’s banned from one organisation but he can fight for another. Does that make sense, even though he’s been caught for steroids abuse and growth hormone? It doesn’t make a difference where he fights, he should be kicked out of the company altogether if that’s the situation.”
“If you get injuries or if you struggle to make weight, there’s obviously something in your training you need to adjust. If you’re repeatedly having injuries, maybe it’s time to stop fighting. If you’re struggling with weight, change your diet and be more disciplined. Growth Hormone helps you with this, it enables you to train harder for longer without getting injuries. I just think it’s a load of BS (bulls**t) to be honest with you.”
Daley is set to go head-to-head with top prospect, Tyron Woodley at the end of this month with the winner likely to be granted a shot at the title. Strikeforce CEO, Scott Coker did hint at a mystery signing for the welterweight division who could command an immediate title shot, leading many to believe he was talking about Marquardt.
