Alistair Overeem reveals Zuffa LLC. are threatening to cut him out of heavyweight grand-prix if he doesn’t fight in September

Strikeforce heavyweight champion, Alistair Overeem has sensationally revealed that Zuffa LLC. are using strong arm tactics in an attempt to force him into fighting on the September 10^th card, telling him if he doesn’t tow the line they will cut him from the heavyweight grand-prix altogether.
Rather than take this lying down “The Reem” has come out all guns blazing on MMAFighting.com today, appearing on The MMA Hour where he revealed he felt he’d been disrespected and that he just wasn’t ready to compete in September against Antonio “Big Foot” Silva as he was nursing a number of small injuries from his previous fight.
Overeem also revealed that he will be fighting in October one way or another and if he can’t settle his dispute with Zuffa LLC. then he’ll pursue a fight with another promotion, before adding boxing had become a real possibility after giving it some serious thought.
