T.J. Grant struck down with illness, fight with Charlie Brenneman scrapped

The welterweight bout between Canadian all-rounder, T.J. Grant and former reality show star, Charlie Brenneman has been scrapped from the UFC on Versus 4 card this weekend in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania after Grant withdrew due to illness.
The promotion made the announcement earlier today, adding no replacement opponent could be found at this short notice.
Brenneman will be looking to build on his January decision win over Amilcar Alves when he does return to the octagon. The fight got him back in the winning column after dropping a TKO loss to Johny Hendricks at UFC 117, snapping a six-fight winning streak.
As for Grant, his up-and-down octagon career continued with a unanimous decision loss to Ricardo Almeida in December. He’ll need a win next time out if the Las Vegas based promotion is to keep him around making it do-or-die for him.
