UFC middleweight contender, Michael Bisping has been speaking about the recent trend of fighters calling him out, from Nate Marquardt who soon moved down to 170 pounds to a heavyweight who shall remain nameless, adding he just finds it amusing. Speaking via ESPN.co.uk, Bisping said:
“It seems like every day somebody’s calling me out! I’d rather not speak about that scrub [Tim Kennedy], he doesn’t even fight in the UFC. I’ve never even laid eyes on him.
“People keep calling me out and they’re keeping my name relevant. I live in a tiny town in the north west of England, haven’t fought in ages, but they’re still calling me out. Thanks guys, thanks for keeping me relevant!
“Nate Marquardt calls me out and then drops to 170lbs, what’s that all about? I’ve had heavyweights calling me out … anyone and everyone.”
Bisping will go head-to-head with former Strikeforce middleweight title contender, Jason “Mayhem” Miller in December after a six week spell together as coaches on “The Ultimate Fighter”. Will the Brit be able to keep his cool with the often outspoken American wind-up artist?
