MFC 30 weigh in results for 'Fickett vs Cobb' on June 10

The official weigh-in event for MFC 30 took place today (June 9, 2011) in advance of tomorrow night's card,"Up Close and Personal," which airs live on HDNet at 10 p.m. ET, in Edmonton, Alberta.
Of the 11 fighters who weighed in, 10 made weight successfully. Lightweight Robert Washington had to forfeit 20% of his fight purse after failing to make weight for his bout with Curtice Demarce.
Headlining the main event will be a lightweight showdown between UFC veteran and jiu-jitsu ace Drew Fickett and late replacement Brian Cobb. Cobb stepped in after Hermes Franca's legal issues and breach of contract forced the MFC to release him from the promotion and cancel his title fight.
Also on the card will be a pair of UFC veterans Marcus Davis and Pete Spratt who will be battling in a rematch from nearly four years ago at UFC 69. Spratt looks like a new man whenever he fights in the MFC and recently scored a submission victory at MFC 29.
Interestingly, the brother of exiled MFC welterweight champion Douglas Lima, Dhiego Lima will be competing on the card as well. It will be intriguing to see how far the promotion trusts him going forwards
