UFC 130 PLAY-BY-PLAY LIVE FACEBOOK STREAM COMMENTARY:
Geno here!
Chris Cariaso vs. Michael McDonald (135-pound limit)
Round one: McDonald lands a nice kick early and it leads to a Cariaso clinch. Up against the cage and they're active throwing knees and punches. They break, though, and reset to standing. Leg kick backs Cariaso up but he's still pushing forward. McDonald misses big on a punch. Big exchanges from both and McDonald tries a guillotine and can't get it. Lands a shot and sends Cariaso flying. McDonald on top but they get back up. Whoa, they roll and McDonald just misses a heel hook. Missed a bit there but it was an action packed round. Could go either way. 10-9 McDonald.

Round two: Leg kick to open from  Cariaso. Big exchanging and my Facebook stream again craps out. Back up with about three minutes left in the round. Leg kick misses from Cariaso and McDonald is looking to come over the top with a right hand. Cariaso misses a kick and falls down. McDonald lets him back up. Errant nut shot brings a halt to the action. Back out they come and it's McDonald looking to land first. Not a lot of meaningful action. McDonald gets a takedown and he's on top. Boom, slides over to full mount but he's running fast out of time. Cariaso spins his way out and back to the feet right as the round ends. 10-9 McDonald.

Round three: Out they come and leg kicks are the prevalent theme so far. Both guys landing well with a few. A little tentative for the final round of what could be a close fight. McDonald leg kick is slightly caught, enough so that Cariaso gets a driving takedown. McDonald is holding him close with an over arm trap. Absolutely no action since the takedown. Triangle attempt fails and they're back up on the feet. McDonald perfectly times a takedown and as soon as he gets to the mat, Cariaso throws his leg over for an omoplata. McDonald gets out, though. Standing across from one another with about thirty seconds left and no one looks like they want to win this fight. Cariaso comically misses a high kick. And another. And another. Goes low this time. McDonald throws a big head kick that misses bad right as the horn sounds and that's it. Ugh. 10-9 Cariaso
Final result: Michael McDonald def. Chris Cariaso via split decision

Renan Barao vs. Cole Escovedo (135-pound limit)
Round one: Super late Facebook stream kick in. One minute left and Escovedo lands a nice head kick. A big exchange leads to a clinch and Barao gets a nice takedown. Sitting in Cole's full guard now working from top. Cole looks for an arm but Barao defends beautifully. The action slows down and the round comes to an end. Not sure how to score this, seeing as I didn't see it all. Sounds like Barao did well.

Round two: Out we come for the second frame and Barao lands a nice 1-2. Oh, big shot from Cole and Renan goes down. Escovedo lands a knee to go with it but Barao takes him down straight after. Looks for a guillotine but lets it go. Shifts his leg out and he's working butterfly before Barao just stands up and backs out. Front kick from Renan. Low leg kick, answered with an overhand right. Another front kick. Swift leg kick lands clean. Clinch against the cage leads to another Barao takedown. Butterfly guard turns to full guard and Barao is working from top again. Cole pushes off the cage and resets underneath. Cole is landing more from the bottom than Renan is on top. Ref calls for a stand-up. They reset and Cole opens with a knee. Catches a leg kick and it leads to a clinch. Up against the cage again looking for the body takedown. Escovedo pulls guard right up next to the cage. Turns around off the cage again but no one is doing much of anything. Barao takes this on takedowns although Escovedo was active on the bottom. 10-9 Barao.

Round three: Front kick from Barao to open the third. Gets fancy and throws a flying knee. ends up on top after Cole lets a clinch lead to a takedown. Back up they go. Peppering shots from both guys. Nice leg kick lands with a sick thud. An exchange leads to a nice right from Barao and he lands a nice little spinning back fist. Throws a spinning back kick shortly after. Jesus, dude is pulling it out. Another flying knee misses from Barao. More exchanging. Spinning back kick sends Cole back. Yet another flying knee and Barao is winning this fight on sheer volume of alone. Add the fancy and it looks good to the judges. Lands a nice counter right and Escovedo is noticably slower. Big scoop takedown slam from Barao. Back on top and he might ride this one out. Scorecards are his as soon as they make it there. And another flying knee from Renan and Cole starts getting aggressive, knowing his down big. Gets taken down for his trouble. This one is over and it's all Barao.
Final result: Renan Barao def. Cole Escovedo via unanimous decision

Gleison Tibau vs. Rafaello Oliveira (155-pound limit)
Round one: Main event of the Facebook stream is up. Tibau has the name value here. Took this fight on just three week's notice and still made weight. He looks pretty big in there and he's pushing the pace. Oliveira, who also took this fight on extremely short notice after an injury to Bart Palaszewski, is doing a lot of circling out and peppering shots. Tibau shoots in and gets the first takedown but gets flipped over and that was very nice from Oliveira. Nothing is going to come easy in this one. Exchanging between both with neither fighter necessarily getting the better of the other. Tibau lands a straight left but only halfway. He lands clean on that and this one is done. Hell of a body shot and yet another big takedown from Tibau. This time Oliveira doesn't explode right up. Gleison knows the game and uses his weight to keep Oliveira down. Rafaello gets to guard. Manages to get back to his feet but gets caught with a nice left hand. He's back up, though. Rushes in but misses with everything. The round comes to a close and it's clear who took that one. 10-9 Tibau.

Round two: Tibau hits with a straight left and he's finding a nice little home for it. He's the aggressor here with Oliveira circling out repeatedly. Both guys in the center with neither wanting to concede it to the other. Nice little exchange there with Tibau looking far more crisp. Oliveira's corner begs him to get busy because he's getting it taken to him and lo and behold, Tibau drives in for the takedown. Oliveira manages to turn out and Tibau jumps like a cat, trying to lock on an arm triangle. Oliveira is too good for that, though. Tibau lands a big shot and Oliveira goes down. He pounces and he's landing big. He takes his back and it's not long before he locks in the choke and that's it for Oliveira. Great fight from Tibau. Technical as it gets.

Round three:
Final result: Gleison Tibau def. Rafaello Oliveira via submission (rear-naked choke) in round 2
