due to tuf14 miller vs simpson scratched from ufc132

As expected, Jason "Mayhem" Miller's upcoming coaching duties on "The Ultimate Fighter 14" have forced him out of a planned UFC 132 bout with Aaron Simpson.

Simpson, though, could remain on the card, which takes place July 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Miller (24-7 MMA, 0-1 UFC) vs. Simpson (8-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC), though, was slated for neither the pay-per-view main card nor a Spike TV "UFC Prelims" special. Instead, the preliminary-card bout likely would have streamed on Facebook.

As we reported earlier today, Miller was chosen to coach opposite "Michael Bisping" on the reality series, which begins taping in June for a September debut on Spike TV. Miller, who hasn't competed in the UFC since a 2005 loss to Georges St-Pierre, recently rejoined the organization after a rocky relationship with Strikeforce, which the UFC recently purchased.

Miller is now slated to fight Bisping later this year.

Simpson was due to fight for the first time since a one-sided beatdown of Mario Miranda at UFC Fight Night 24. The victory snapped a two-fight losing streak for Simpson, who had dropped back-to-back outings against Mark Munoz and Chris Leben. Prior to the skid, Simpson had notched seven-straight wins to open his career, which included a single victory in the now-defunct WEC.
