Bellator 44 weigh-in results: Lombard, Vitale, lightweight finalists official

All fighters competing at Saturday's Bellator 44 event today hit the scales to make weight for the show.

Today's official fighter weigh-ins took place at the New Jersey's Ceasar's Atlantic City. The same venue plays host to Saturday's event, which airs on MTV2.

The evening's 16 participants included Bellator middleweight champion Hector Lombard and his superfight opponent, Falaniko Vitale, as well as lightweight tournament finalists Michael Chandler and Patricky "Pitbull" Freire, who meet with a shot at the promotion's 155-pound title on the line.

After making his main-event contest official, Lombard had little to say about the task at hand.

"Another day at the office," Lombard flatly said.

Meanwhile, Vitale offered his opponent respect but looked forward to a long-awaited matchup.

"I've been waiting for this fight for two years," Vitale said. "He's a badass."

WEC veteran Anthony "Cheesesteak" Morrison had trouble with his time on the scale, scoring an announced weight of 146 pounds for his bantamweight affair. Morrison claimed the actual weight was 141 pounds and said he will make the required weight.
