"Jake Shields is going to be the toughest opponent that Georges St-Pierre has faced in recent times. Jake Shields is not only proven himself at 170lbs, but he's beat Dan Henderson and Dan Henderson is no joke, so I think that just goes to show the sort of calibre of fighter Jake Shields is. That being said, Jake Shields is slightly more one-dimensional than Georges St-Pierre. If Georges St-Pierre can keep the fight standing than I think he has a high chance of winning the fight. And I don't doubt that St-Pierre is going to try and take Jake down as well and try and do some damage from top position. I think we could be in for an upset. Jake Shields is very capable and good at what he does."-- The man currently slated to compete for the Strikeforce welterweight title, Paul Daley, has a few thoughts (via ESPN) on the UFC welterweight championship fight between reigning division kingpin Georges St. Pierre and Jake Shields on April 30 in Toronto. The Brit knows a thing or two about the challenger, having been submitted by the grappler back in 2008 under the EliteXC banner. That was win number 11 of the 15 in a row Shields has put together since his last loss all the way back in 2004, which easily makes him the top contender to the French-Canadian's belt. But as capable as he is, does the Cesar Gracie trained wrestler have what it takes to do what no man has done since Matt Serra four years ago? Daley seems to think so.
