UFC 133: Jorge Rivera vs Alessio Sakara fight announced for August 6

Third time's the charm.
After injuries to both competitors forced a cancellation of a planned UFC 118 bout, Jorge Rivera and Alessio Sakara were then booked to throw hands at the "Marquardt vs. Okami" event in Germany back in Nov. 2010.
That, however, fell through at the last minute when "Legionarius" had a close encounter with some bad tuna, which had him upchucking all over Oberhausen.
Not to be deterred, the world's largest fight promotion is giving it one more go, as company President Dana White announced they are once again set to square off, this time at UFC 133:
"Better late than never, verbal agreements are in for what should be an action-packed match between Alessio Sakara and Jorge Rivera at UFC 133."
The first fight announced for UFC 133 should be action-packed, indeed.
Star-divide
Rivera makes his return to the Octagon after a second round technical knockout loss to Michael Bisping at UFC 127. "El Conquistador's" mouth wrote a few checks that his fists couldn't cash, leading to his first loss since 2008.
His pre-fight viral video campaign helped raise his profile, though, so expect a few more eyeballs for this clash.
For his money, Sakara is fresh on the heels of a frustrating unanimous decision defeat at the hands of budding prospect Chris Weidman at UFC on Versus 3 just last month.
The Italian boxer was repeatedly taken down and ground out in Kentucky but he'll have no such problems in his fight against Rivera.
STAND-N-BANG!!
UFC 133 is currently rumored for the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 6, 2011. Rivera vs. Sakara is the only bout announced for the card at this time but keep it locked right here at MMAmania.com for any updates to this still-developing fight card.
