UFC welterweight prospect, Brian Foster has been forced to pull out of his UFC 129 clash with Sean Pierson today after a pre-fight brain scan revealed a haemorrhage, something that could have had serious implications if he had been allowed to fight.
The news was confirmed via his Twitter page earlier today with his manager, Marc Fiore, revealed that a blood vessel had been leaking in his brain leading to the condition. The severity of the haemorrhage is not known at this time.
Foster will be forced to sit out of all activity over the next six weeks before returning to the doctors for further tests and planning his recovery. Stay tuned to MMABay for more on this situation as it develops.
