UFN 24 – Dan Hardy concerned 235 pound Anthony Johnson won’t make weight for Seattle showdown

UFC welterweight contender, Dan Hardy has revealed he’s concerned that his UFC Fight Night 24 opponent, Anthony “Rumble” Johnson won’t make the 170 pound limit later this month when the pair square off in Seattle, Washington after running into Johnson a couple of months back when he weighed a massive 235 pounds.
Speaking via MiddleEasy.com, Hardy said:
“I saw him a few months ago, he was about 235 lbs. Even if it was nine months ago, to lose 65 lbs is a push. It’s going to be tough on his body. He struggles to make weight anyway when he’s fighting regularly, so coming down from that weight — I don’t know. I’m a little concerned because I don’t want a percentage of his purse, I want the win bonus.”
Hardy is looking to bounce back from two defeats in a row after losing via unanimous decision to Georges St. Pierre and first round knockout at the hands of Carlos Condit. He holds notable wins over the likes of Marcus Davis and Mike Swick. Stay tuned to MMABay for more build-up to this one as we get it.
