The UFC have today once again pulled out rabbit out of the proverbial hat by announcing the potentially exciting bantamweight clash between Japanese star, Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto and former WEC star, Demetrious Johnson will air live and for free this Saturday night on Facebook.The news was today announced via the promotions official page on the social networking site and will likely please millions of fans who were hoping to tune in for this one.
Yamamoto rebounded from back-to-back decision losses at the hands of Joe Warren and Masanori Kanehara when he stopped Frederico Lopez at DREAM 14 in the very first round. Yamamoto has been one of the best overall MMA fighters produced by Japan.
As for Johnson, he rebounded from a WEC debut defeat at the hands of Brad Pickett to defeat both Nick Pace and Damacio Page in impressive fashion, the latter via submission in the third round.
