Assuming he gets past Yuya Shirai at BAMMA 5 on Feb. 26...
"I hit unlike any other welterweight in MMA. I will knock Diaz out. I will knock him out. Nick doesn't have great wrestling. Most of his takedowns come from the clinch or he's dropping guys with bodyshots, but that ain't gonna happen with me. Yeah he's fast but he's not explosive like me when it comes to MMA. He's got great conditioning, yeah, but what happens when I'm moving three or four times as fast as anybody he's fought in the past? How's he going to deal with that?"
Strikeforce welterweight number one contender, Paul Daley, who puts his place in the pecking order at risk in the main event of the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts (BAMMA) 5 event in Manchester, England, on Feb. 26, 2011, tells The MMA Hour he's got the hands to knock Nick Diaz from his 170-pound perch if and when they finally throw down later this year. "Semtex," who is riding a three-fight win streak since being cut from the UFC early last year because of a cheap shot he unloaded on Josh Koscheck, recently annihilated Scott Smith in his Strikeforce debut back in Dec. 2010. Is he heir to the throne? Or just plain old submission-prone?
