Top rated Norwegian submission artist, Jon Olav Einemo is reportedly in the latter stages of negotiations with the UFC this week in what could make for a very interesting addition to the promotions heavyweight ranks.
The news comes via MMAFighting.com who says a source within the promotions ranks revealed the news earlier today and that they hope to have his signature in a matter of days.
Einemo won his first five professional MMA fights before losing to Fabricio Werdum back at PRIDE 31 in 2006. He rebounded with a win over James Thompson before leaving the MMA world for four years. He returned last June to defeat Kresimir Bogdanovic in Bosnia. He is also the only fighter to defeat multiple-time Brazilian Jiu Jitsu champion Roger Gracie at the Abu Dhabi tournament.
