UFC Quick Quote: Matt Wiman's 'elevator fight' against Cole Miller took him to the next level

"I was in the zone, I love those elevator-type of fights where you're constantly in each other's space. There's just no way to get around it. Cole's long and I stepped forward so it was just one of those elevator fights. I like it but it is very difficult. I really didn't give it too much thought or too much gameplan because when you stop to think then you're a second behind so I just went out there and let my muscle memory go and try to go as hard as I can for as long as I can wherever the fight went."
UFC lightweight Matt Wiman (via UFC.com) takes the "elevator fight" to the next floor after pounding on Cole Miller for three rounds at UFC Fight Night 23 on Jan. 22 in Killeen, Texas. "Magrinho" came into his "Fight for the Troops" a sizable favorite over the "Handsome" one, but had no answer for Wiman's relentless pace and ruthless aggression. The question now is, does Wiman take Miller's place in the divisional standings? And if so, who does Joe Silva match him up with next?
