The heavyweight tilt between Croatian sensation, Mirko Cro Cop and “Ultimate Fighter” season ten runner-up, Brendan Schaub has now been made official for UFC 128, set to go down on March 19th at the Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey.
The promotion made the fight official earlier today after a couple of weeks of changing Schaub’s opponent on more than one occasion.
Cro Cop is looking to rebound from a disappointing third round knockout loss at the hands of former UFC heavyweight champion, Frank Mir. Prior to that he’d picked up back-to-back stoppage wins over Anthony Perosh and Pat Barry.
Schaub is currently on a three fight winning streak which includes two first round knockout wins and a unanimous decision win over former title contender, Gabriel Gonzaga earlier this year. The sole loss of his career came at the hands of former IFL champion, Roy Nelson on the season ten finale of the reality show.
