Kansas City, KS -- The Titan Fighting Championship (www.TitanFighting.com) has officially confirmed that WEC featherweight veteran L.C. Davis has been forced to withdraw from next Friday's Titan Fighting Championship 16 event due to a knee injury.
Replacing Davis on the card will be popular UFC veteran Rich Clementi.
"I was heartbroken to hear about L.C.'s injury because I know how much it meant to him to be able to come back to Kansas City and compete in front of his friends and family," Titan Fighting CEO Joe Kelly said in a statement. "However, we really feel good about being able to secure a fighter the stature of Rich Clementi on such short notice."
Clementi, 39-17-1, will be competing in a welterweight contest against Kansas City native Aaron Derrow (8-2), who had previously been scheduled to take on Alonzo Martinez in a lightweight contest. Titan officials are currently exploring options for a replacement opponent to fight Martinez.
Davis had been scheduled to fight undefeated bantamweight/featherweight prospect Jared Downing. It is Kelly's hope that Davis vs. Downing can be re-scheduled for the promotion's next event on Friday, March 25.

Clementi vs. Derrow is set to be a part of the nationally televised portion of Titan Fighting Championship 16, which will air live next Friday (January 28) on HDNet (www.HD.net) at 10 p.m. ET.
