Scott Coker predicts Fabricio Werdum will beat Fedor Emelianenko in the grand-prix semi-finals

Strikeforce CEO, Scott Coker has been giving his predictions as to how he thinks the upcoming heavyweight grand prix will pan out over the next year, including the surprise revelation that he expects to see Fabricio Werdum submit Fedor Emelianenko in the semi-finals.
Speaking via The Fight Nerd, Coker said:
“I believe that there are going to be some upsets in this tournament. On one side you’ll have Alistair Overeem and he will fight (Josh) Barnett. The other prediction is, if Fabricio Werdum beats Alistair (Overeem), I believe Fabricio can beat Fedor (Emelianenko) again and he’ll probably fight (Josh) Barnett. That’s my prediction, but in these things you never know, I’m just throwing out some names. The reality is we’re going to have a lot of fun watching it unfold.”
The heavyweight tournament begins in just over two weeks time when Fedor takes on former EliteXC heavyweight champion, Antonio “Big Foot” Silva and top rated European fighters, Andrei Arlovski and Sergei Kharitonov go head-to-head. Stay tuned to MMABay for more build-up to these fights and more as we get it.
