Mark Hominick set to get a featherweight title shot at UFC 129 if he can get past George Roop later this month

Former WEC featherweight title contender, Mark Hominick look set to receive a shot at Jose Aldo’s UFC title at UFC 129 on April 30th in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, if he can get past George Roop later this month at UFC Fight Night 23.
On last night’s edition of Sportsnet’s MMA Connected, “Showdown” Joe Ferraro said:
“If London, Ontario’s Mark Hominick can defeat George Roop and come out unscathed at UFC Fight Night 23, look for “The Machine” to earn a title shot versus featherweight champion Jose Aldo.”
Fans will remember that Hominick was the promotions first option to face the ultra-talented Brazilian at UFC 125 on January 1st in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was forced to pull out due to a broken hand he suffered before his WEC 51 fight with Leonard Garcia.
