We're excited to announce Gerald has signed his next bout agreement! He will fight in his home town of Tulsa OK at Xtreme Fight Night February 25th at the Hard Rock against James Head (6-1)Harris, following his lopsided loss at the hands of Maiquel Falcao at UFC 123 back in November, was cut from the UFC much to the surprise of most MMA fans.
The "Hurricane" had won 10 consecutive fights with all but one of them coming by way of submission or (technical) knockout. His brutal slam of Dave Branch at UFC 116 even made ESPN's Sportscenter top plays list.
Company president Dana White expressed displeasure at the post-fight press conference regarding his bout with Falcao, particularly the third round that featured very little action.
Can another torrid run on the regional circuit earn him a trip back to the big stage? Time will tell.
