Clay Guida wants to be in the top three at the end of the year

UFC lightweight livewire, Clay Guida has been speaking about where he wants to be before the end of the year within one of the most stacked divisions in all of MMA, explaining he’ll at least reach number three or four overall.
Speaking via Heavy.com, Guida said:
“2011 is going to bring big things. We don’t turn down fights, but we want to be very selective in who we fight just because this is a short career, so we want to fight who is going to put us in line for title contention. I’m not calling anyone out. I just want to fight the next best guy out there that fits out style.”
“End of 2011 I think we’ll be right there at the top, definitely top three or four. I’d say a couple of more victories. We’ve got three submissions in a row now. We keep putting guys away and they’re only going to give us better fighters and that’s what we’re looking forward to.”
Guida is now looking to square off with a top level opponent in order to further his title aspirations over the course of 2011. The Greg Jackson trained fighter is now on a three fight winning streak with each of them coming inside the distance. Stay tuned to MMABay for further updates as we get them.
