DONCASTER’S Scott Askham will be defending his British title against Jack Marshman at the UK’s biggest fight and music show, it has been officially confirmed.
The official announcement was made by the show’s organisers, the UCFC.
He will join the impressive fight card that includes some of the biggest names in MMA, including Ian “The Machine” Freeman, Andre Winner, Ricco Rodriguez and Neil Wain.
The event will also see UK’s number one hip-hop star Professor Green, Jay MYA and The Sunshine Underground playing to a capacity 15,000 crowd at the Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster on Saturday, July 27th.

David Mangham, one of the show organisers, said: “Scott is a brilliant fighter who comes from Doncaster and has huge support in the area.
“He will be defending his British title against Jack “The Hammer” Marshman, who is an excellent fighter with some really impressive wins under his belt.

“This match-up will be an all-out war and will have the crowd roaring for more…”
Marshman has won many of his fights by TKO but is also very dangerous on the ground having finished off opponents in the past with submissions.
He currently has an eleven win, two losses professional record with eight of those wins from either KO or TKO.

Scott currently enjoys a 10 win no losses record. Seven of those wins are from KO or TKOs, two from submissions and one from a judges’ decision. He fights out of the Ludus Magnus Training Centre, Doncaster.
Scott said: “The UCFC is a great organisation and am really looking forward to defending my British title.

“Jack is a great opponent and I am really looking forward to fighting him in front of my home crowd. Jack himself has a great following so I see this bout being a very exciting fight.”
Professor Green, who engaged to former Made in Chelsea star Mille Mackintosh, has a string of top 30 single hits including “Just Be Good to Green”, “At Your Inconvenience” and “Read All About It”.
He has been nominated and won major music awards including the MOBO’s Best Hip-Hop Grime act 2010 and the NME’s Best Dancefloor Filler award in 2011. He has just released his latest single: “Are You Getting Enough...”

The fight card is packed with some of the biggest MMA legends on the circuit including former Ultimate Fighting Championship legends Neil Wain, Ian Freeman, the former Vale Tudo champion and the USA’s Ken Shamrock, a UFC veteran.
There is also UFC’s and TUF finale contestant Andre Winner, Ricco Rodriguez, the former UFC heavyweight champ, the unbeaten Bellator fighter Karl Etherington.

The spokesman added: “As well as those top fighters we have more with Neil Grove, of Bellator, Dragan Pesic, Oli Thompson and Paul Taylor. These are some of the top fighters in the UK and there has never been such a high quality card put together in the UK before.”
