Cage Warriors 56: Fight card update

THE main card is now set for Cage Warriors 56, which takes place at The Forum in Kentish Town, London, on Saturday, July 6.
Tickets, priced from just £25 (plus booking fee), for CWFC’s return to the English capital are currently available HERE.
Opponents for top UK featherweights Robbie Olivier and Graham Turner have today been announced, in addition to a 160lbs catchweight bout between Warren Kee and Philip Mulpeter.
Olivier (19-9-1-1nc), who recently signed a five-fight deal with Cage Warriors, will face Albanian-born 25-year-old Patrik Berisha.
A former European number one, Olivier’s only loss in his last seven outings came via decision at the hands of current Bellator champion Pat Curran in February 2010.
The 34-year-old Englishman, who holds victories over the likes of CWFC stablemate Ronnie Mann and UFC star Brad Pickett, hopes a win over Berisha on July 6 will mark the beginning of a challenge for the CWFC featherweight title.
“Fighting for Cage Warriors is very exciting,” said Olivier. “Event after event they’re producing some of the best-matched bouts in the business and I’m proud to be part of such a stacked roster.
“This is my chance to show the MMA community that I’m back and ready to shake up the featherweight division. I have my eyes firmly set on CWFC gold.”
Berisha (6-3-0-1nc), a 25-year-old who’s currently based in Switzerland, has taken all six of his professional wins by stoppage inside two rounds.
Despite Olivier’s greater experience, Berisha is promising to upset the odds: “After watching his fights and looking at who he has already fought, people might be impressed. But I’m not.
“For me this is a big chance and I won’t pass up the opportunity. I’m the underdog, nobody will expect me to win this fight and this takes the pressure off my shoulders. I’ll cause a shock and take the win back to Switzerland.”
Meanwhile, Graham Turner (22-7) will be aiming for his fifth consecutive win when he takes on unbeaten English rising star Nad Narimani.
Turner comes into the bout on the back of first-round TKO victories over Nathan Beer and Fouad Mesdari at Cage Warriors 50 and 52 respectively.
The 25-year-old Scot, who’s ranked third in the UK & Ireland behind UFC pair Conor McGregor and Andy Ogle, will be searching for the fifth Cage Warriors win of his career.
“I expect this to be a tough fight,” said Turner. “I think me and Nad Narimani have a similar fighting style, which should make it very interesting for the crowd.”
Narimani (5-0) has risen to prominence recently courtesy of impressive wins over Marcin Wrzosek and TUF alumni Karsten Lenjoint.
A native of Bristol, the 26-year-old said: “I’m really looking forward to fighting on a big show like Cage Warriors against a good opponent. I’m going to put on an exciting performance as always and come away with the win.”
Elsewhere, as well as the addition of the aforementioned meeting of Warren Kee(7-2-1) and Philip Mulpeter (5-3) to the main card, a lightweight tussle between unbeaten pair Sean Carter (5-0) and Adam Boussif (3-0) has been confirmed for the prelims.
More fights are still to be announced for the prelims, so keep track of Cage Warriors on Facebook and Twitter for the latest news and updates. Click HEREfor more information on Cage Warriors 56.
