Lightweights set to battle at The Score Fighting Series

TORONTO, November 5th, 2012 – Two additional lightweight bouts have been confirmed for The Score Fighting Series (SFS) in Hamilton, Ontario on Friday, November 23rd. Jason Saggo will face-off against Iraj “Cold Blooded” Hadin while SFS veteran Adam “The Maverick” Assenza takes on SFS newcomer Tommy Cote.

The two bouts add to an already stellar line-up at Hamilton Place Theatre, with all the main card action being broadcast live on theScore Television Network in Canada and on AXS TV in the U.S.
Hadin (6-4), from London, Ontario, makes his second SFS appearance and will be keen to bounce-back from the first-round KO defeat handed to him by Alex Ricci back in March. Hadin is renowned for his toughness and has enjoyed an excellent camp according to his Adrenaline Training Centre teamates, including UFC veterans Mark Hominick, Chris Clements and Sam Stout.
Saggo will be no pushover however, with the Bolton, Ontario, fighter looking to build on his SFS win over Eric Attard in August. Victory that night came via first-round submission (rear naked choke), and added to Saggo’s reputation as a finisher. All seven of his wins have come inside the distance (1 T/KO, 6 SUBs).

Assenza, from Burlington, Ontario, is 2-1 in his fledgling professional MMA career, chalking-up wins at the last two SFS events he has competed in, defeating John Roche (first round submission) and Taylor Solomon (split-decision). Cote, from Victoriaville, Quebec, goes into the bout with a 3-3 record and comes off the back of a TKO win over Pablo Santos in June. Cote will be determined to shine in what will be his first appearance at the SFS.
Confirmed match-ups to date include:

· Jordan Mein vs. Forrest Petz
· Josh Hill vs. Rafael Rebello
· Jesse Ronson vs. Ryan Healy
· Alex Ricci vs. Kevin Morin
· Ryan Dickson vs. Brandt Dewsbery
· Jason Saggo vs. Iraj Hadin
· Adam Assenza vs. Tommy Cote

The main card at Hamilton Place Theatre will be televised live in Canada on theScore Television Network and in the U.S. on AXS TV beginning at 10:00pm EST. Tickets start at $30 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.ca.
