JAY MORTIMORE has pulled out of Cage Warriors 45 at the HMV Forum in London on Saturday, February 18.
Mortimore (6-2-0), who was due to take on Eddy Bengtsson in a heavyweight bout, has cited a chest infection as the reason for his withdrawal.
The 31-year-old Exeter native made his CWFC debut in Jordan last June when he suffered a first round TKO defeat to Andreas Kraniotakes.
Mortimore was pencilled in for a meeting with Dayman Lake at Cage Warriors 44 in October but withdrew because of a back injury.
“We’re very disappointed Jay has pulled out,” said Cage Warriors matchmaker Ian Dean. “I was really looking forward to the fight but I wish Jay the best and hope he gets well soon.
“I’m still confident we won’t lose the fight from the card and that we’ll find a replacement fighter for Eddy Bengtsson shortly.”
