Chael Sonnen says he feels sorry for the “abandoned” Brazilian fans

UFC middleweight contender, Chael Sonnen has gone back on the offensive this week when it comes to those Brazilian fighters who have up sticks and left the South American country, adding he feels sorry for those fans who have been “abandoned” by their heroes.
Speaking via Fighters Only Magazine, Sonnen said:

“I wish to fight with several Brazilian fighters. Not against the fighters who are concerned about Brazil, but with the fighters who abandoned Brazil, such Wanderlei Silva for example. He says he is Brazilian but lives in a private condominium in Las Vegas. He left you, [Brazil,] abandoned you and now lives in the United States.”
“Anderson Silva loves to praise Brazil but he spent two million dollars on a mansion in Los Angeles. I feel for the Brazilians because their heroes left them.”

Sonnen’s next fight will be his first since he was suspended for taking banned substances prior to his UFC 117 bout with middleweight champion, Anderson Silva. Prior to that he had defeated the likes of Yushin Okami and Nate Marquardt.
