You were told not to blink.
That's because the main event of UFC 131 on June 11, 2011, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada featured two of the hardest hitting heavyweights in the history of the fight game.
But when Junior dos Santos and Shane Carwin met in the center of the Octagon, it was more about technique than it was power.
"Cigano" was popping the jab early and before long it opened things up and he had "The Engineer" prone and in the fetal position, eating punches with no reprieve.
Carwin showed incredible grit, though, surviving through a barrage of bombs from his vicious foe, who was relentless in his blistering attack.
Not only did he make it out of the first round, he came back recovered and landing a few strong shots of his own in the second.
But this certainly wasn't Junior's first rodeo.

Dos Santos absorbed those power shots from Carwin and kept right on coming, landing a monster head kick that briefly staggered the Grudge product.
That wasn't enough to get the big man to go down, though.
It seemed as though no amount of punishment would be sufficient enough to fell either one of these two goliath competitors.
And, in fact, they made it all the way to the scorecards, hard as that may be to believe.
It was close, a back and forth battle of attrition, but in the end, Junior dos Santos proved to be the superior and more well-conditioned fighter.
He wasn't as impressive as he has been in previous outings but ultimately that doesn't mean much.
Cain Velasquez vs. Junior dos Santos later this year for the UFC heavyweight championship.
