UFC lightweight champion, Frankie Edgar looks set to return to action either late on in the month of September or the month of October as he continues to recover from a debilitating back injury that forced him out of a fight last month. The news comes via MMAWeekly.com who spoke to Edgar’s manager, Ali Abdel-Aziz from Dominance MMA. He also revealed that the fighter is currently resting up and not training at all.
A return to the octagon could either come at UFC 136 in Houston or UFC 137 in Las Vegas, with current number one contender, Gray Maynard waiting in the wings and recovering from his own minor injury problems.
