Dana White reveals recruiting has already begun for new flyweight division for the UFC

UFC President, Dana White has today announced that the promotion has already begun recruiting talent for a brand new 125 pound flyweight division with the ultimate intention of crowning a champion.
Speaking at the UFC 131 pre-fight press conference Dana said:

“We have to get out there and we have to create the division. We bring the guys in, sign them and start putting on fights. You figure out who the best is, and then you have a title fight.”

A crop of bantamweights brought over from the WEC ranks will no doubt be interested in the news, especially fast rising star, Demetrious Johnson who recently defeated former champion, Miguel Torres. Stay tuned to MMABay for more news on this situation as we get it.
