The UFC is considering making its return to Abu Dhabi in December for what would be its second event in the United Arab Emirates capital following UFC 112 in April 2010, MMAFighting reports.
UFC 112 was held outdoors and featured a pair of title fights, as middleweight champ Anderson Silva topped Demian Maia and Frankie Edgar claimed the lightweight title from BJ Penn.
March’s UFC 128 was planned for Abu Dhabi, but was shifted to Newark, New Jersey over weather and venue issues.
The UFC’s December schedule is also expected to include UFC 140 on December 10 in Montreal, which could feature a super fight between UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and Strikeforce title-holder Nick Diaz.
