UFC 132 – Erik Koch vs. Cub Swanson announced for July 2nd card in Las Vegas, Nevada

A featherweight bout between two of the most exciting men in the division, Erik Koch and Cub Swanson, has today been announced for the UFC 132 card on July 2nd in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The promotion announced the fight earlier today via it’s official website with UFC President, Dana White saying:
“Rising star Erik Koch, who took home Knockout of the Night at the stacked UFC 128 event, will take on Cub Swanson, who earned Fight Of The Night honors in his last outing.”
Koch earned that “Knockout of the Night” bonus when he felled dangerous Brazilian, Raphael Assuncao just last month in New Jersey. The Duke Roufus trained fighter is on a three fight winning streak and has only dropped one unanimous decision in his career.
Swanson will be making his octagon debut in this one and hasn’t been seen in action since he picked up a split decision win over Mackens Semerzier at WEC 52 in November. The two were expected to meet on the UFC on Versus 3 card last month only for injury to rule Swanson out.
