DREAM 17 – Shinya Aoki vs. Willamy “Chiquerim” Freire announced for May 29th in Saitama, Japan

DREAM lightweight champion, Shinya Aoki has been giving his opponent for his first fight back in the ring this year, drawing talented Brazilian upstart, Willamy “Chiquerim” Freire on the DREAM 17 card on May 29^th in Saitama, Japan.
Sources close to the situation revealed the news to MMAWeekly.com earlier today with the promotion expected to make an announcement in the coming days.
Aoki has competed this year in the MMA arena, defeating Lyle Beerbohm via first round rear-naked choke inside the Strikeforce cage. That went someway to erase the disastrous Dynamite!! 2010 showing when he was brutally knocked out by Yuichiro Nagashima.
Stepping in against Aoki is former one-time UFC fighter, Willamy “Chiquerim” Freire who was defeated by Waylon Lowe in his one and only showing. That loss aside he has won eleven fights in his last twelve as well as a win over current Bellator stand-out, Patricky “Pitbull” Freire.
