Chael Sonnen’s meeting with the Nevada State Athletic Commission doesn’t go so well

It has emerged that a meeting between UFC middleweight Chael Sonnen, UFC owners Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta and high ranking officials from the Nevada State Athletic Commission turned sour a couple of weeks ago after the commissions executive director, Keith Kizer took exception to a number of comments the fighter had made during a hearing in California last year.
Speaking via MMAJunkie.com, Kizer said:
“He gave some very strange story and claimed, ‘My manager and you talked about therapeutic exemptions, and therefore, I just used the wrong word. I should have said ‘my’ instead of ‘I.’ As in ‘my manager’ instead of ‘I.’ I was very straight with him, saying, ‘That’s a ridiculous explanation.’”
“With his explanations, I don’t know how productive of a meeting it was.  I really did expect a much more constructive meeting out of that. But it just wasn’t there. I think Zuffa tried; I know we tried. I put the blame completely on Mr. Sonnen.”
Kizer is known to have been angered by claims Sonnen made during his hearing in front of the California State Athletic Commission that he’d made Kizer aware about a medical condition that required hormone replacement treatment and that Kizer had advised him that no further disclosure was required. Of course Mr. Kizer refuted those claims, adding the Team Quest man had attempted to being the NSAC into disrepute and Sonnen was suspended for six month from fighting.
