Looks like "Captain America" is all set to fly to Canada to put on a show for the fans in Toronto.
That's because Randy Couture was issued a one-fight license by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) yesterday for his April 30 fight against Lyoto Machida, according to the Las Vegas Sun.
The Ontario commission requires fighters to attain a license in their home state before they issue their own.
"The Natural" was quoted as saying he's, "healthy as a horse and ready to compete." He was last seen submitting bloated braggart James Toney back at UFC 118 and has won three straight as his career winds to a close.
Can he slay "The Dragon" before he leaves for good?
Machida has had less luck recently; after 15 dominating victories over the likes of Rich Franklin, B.J. Penn, Thiago Silva, and Rashad Evans (during which he seemed untouchable), he took a controversial decision over "Shogun" Rua in his first defense of the light heavyweight title.
The rematch ended early, "The Dragon" lifeless on the canvas. His subsequent fight against Quinton "Rampage" Jackson at UFC 123 ended in another controversial decision, this one not in his favor.
Can "The Dragon" defeat the man even Father Time can not and retain his place in the upper echelon of the 205-pound division? Or could we really be looking at a three fight losing streak for the once unbeaten Karate master?
