Quoteworthy:
"It’ll be a pretty tough fight, there’re no doubt. Jon Jones is the guy now, people are creating great expectations about him, but I particularly disagree. In my opinion, Shogun has a sharper boxing than Jones, and he has got more game. Jon Jones is talented, has a great reach, but he hasn’t confronted a guy like Shogun. I believe Shogun will win this one, I’d bet on him, because I believe he has got more game than Jones. But every fight is unique, right?"
Antonio Rogerio Nogueira weighs in on the upcoming 205-pound title fight at UFC 128 between division champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and electrifying number one contender, Jon Jones. "Lil Nog" -- who dropped a decision to Rua in a fantastic fight at PRIDE: "Critical Countdown" in 2005 -- feels that his fellow countryman has all the tools to deconstruct the sensational, unorthodox and creative up-and-comer. That's because it wasn't too long ago that Rua -- who turns 30-years-old this year -- was the toast of the town, smashing through anyone and everyone in the Pride FC heyday as young, 20-something phenom. Now Jones, 23, appears to be the future of the light heavyweight division after mowing down all the competition put in front of him with relative ease. Does "Bones" have what it takes to establish himself as the future of the division in Newark, N.J., on March 19 or will "Shogun" prove that he's still the man to beat despite the rash of injuries that have set him back?
