Bellator Middleweight Champion Hector Lombard is about to get his hands "Dirte" down under.
The former Olympian is set to return to Cage Fighting Championship (CFC) to battle jet-setting mixed martial arts veteran Joe Doerksen in the main event of CFC 16 on March 25 from Luna Park Sydney in New South Wales, Australia.
The promotion recently announced the upcoming headliner via its official website.
Lombard, who is expected to return to active duty under the Bellator banner this May, will defend his CFC middleweight title for the seventh consecutive time when "El Dirte" tries to hand him his first loss in almost five years.
"Hektor" is currently riding a 16-fight winning streak and hasn't tasted defeat since a unanimous decision loss to Gegard Mousasi at PRIDE: "Bushido 13" way back in November 2006.
Can a seasoned veteran like Doerksen get it done at the newly restored amusement park?
The Canadian needs a big turnaround after dropping two straight inside the Octagon (and earning his Zuffa pink slip) with losses to C.B. Dollaway (submission) at UFC 119 and Dan Miller (split decision) at UFC 124 as part of a dismal 2010 fight campaign.
Doerksen is a veteran of a whopping sixty fights and has been competing professionally since 1999.
CFC 16 will also feature a co-main event of Manny Rodrigues vs. "Hot" Rod McSwain with the winner earning a shot at the welterweight title currently held by Jesse Juarez.
