In a recent episode of Ultimate Insider, that's what his boss said:
"I honestly would have to say the most underrated, under-appreciated guy out there is Frankie Edgar. But that might have all changed after his last fight with Gray Maynard. We'll see next time he fights. I think Frankie Edgar is an incredible fighter. I think he's dangerous to everybody at 155-pounds, no matter how much bigger they are than him and even though he could fight at a weight class below (his), I think the kid's a beast."Current UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar, who held on to that title by the skin of his teeth on Jan. 1 after a draw with Gray Maynard in their rematch, gets a glowing endorsement from company President Dana White. Even after two five-round decision victories over B.J. Penn, widely regarded as the greatest lightweight in the history of the sport, "The Answer" still couldn't get no respect, as he was given little chance to defend his title against "The Bully" at UFC 125. After a jaw-dropping 25 minutes of back and forth action, Edgar proved he, at the very least, belongs in the deep waters, swimming with the sharks. But will "The Bully" send him back to the shallow end of the pool when they square off in the trilogy fight at UFC 130, which recently became official for May 28 in Las Vegas? And is White correct in his assessment that Edgar is the most underrated champion in the game today?
