Vitor Belfort talks about his past relationship with Silva, focused on the task ahead

UFC middleweight number one contender, Vitor Belfort has been speaking about what kind of relationship he had with his opponent tonight at UFC 126, Anderson Silva, and how they only trained together for a brief stint when the sport began to evolve.
Speaking via MMAWeekly.com, Belfort said:
“We trained before together, we came from different gyms. He came from Chute Boxe and I came from Carlson Gracie’s gym, and then we started to train together when our sport started to evolve, but we came from different cities in Brazil. I don’t know him really well.”
“This is a business and when it’s done you move on to the next fight. Personal things is just that you get in your best shape and do your best, that’s what’s personal.”
“He’s great, he does his job pretty well. He does great and he deserves where he is right now. Right now I’m not focused on that, I’m focused on the fight. Because the bottom line is my job is to step in the Octagon for 25 minutes and I have to face (Anderson Silva).”
Belfort is no doubt up against it tonight when he steps into the octagon to face Silva after spending the last fifteen months recovering from a series of injuries. Will “The Phenom” be in tip-top form when that octagon door closes or will the ring rust rest heavy on this Brazilian shoulders?
