They're back.
Middleweight TUF guys Ed Herman and Tim Credeur have reportedly been scheduled to make their return to the Octagon against each other at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 13 Finale on June 4 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Heavy.com brought word of the pending match-up earlier today.
If it seems like it's been a while since you heard from these two, that's because it has. Herman hasn't been seen since he suffered a graphic knee injury against Aaron Simpson at UFC 102 back in August 2009.
Before taking his extended vacation, "Short Fuse" was on a short leash, having lost three of his last four fights. Not only will he have to fight ring rust, he may also be competing for his job.
Ready for fireworks?
Credeur's absence has lasted nearly as long as Herman's, dating back to September 2009. His run of luck after winning "Fight of the Night" honors in a gritty but ultimately unsuccessful effort against Nate Quarry, has been nothing short of "Crazy."
Multiple injuries have forced the 33 year-old to cancel a few fights in the past year, but he finally appears to be healthy and ready to get right back in the thick of things in the crowded middleweight division.
As good old Jim Ross would say, it should be a slobberknocker.
The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale has yet to be officially announced by the UFC but is currently scheduled to take place at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas on June 4. The main event will feature a lightweight title eliminator bout pitting number one contender Anthony Pettis putting his shot at gold on the line against energetic caveman Clay Guida.
Josh Grispi vs. George Roop and Jonathin Brookins vs. Jeremy Stephens are also rumored for the event.
